The Qur’an Free Essays

The Qur’an is recognized as the last literal words of GOD given to his people by Muhammad the last prophet, or messenger of GOD (Quran recitations and translation online, 2006-2009). The Quran is without a beginning, middle, or ending, and consists of 114 chapters of varying lengths called â€Å"Sura†. Each ‘Sura’ is titled dependant on the message being portrayed (Hooker, 1996). We will write a custom essay sample on The Qur’an or any similar topic only for you Order Now It also reveals the following â€Å"five pillars of Islam† (Five Pillars of Islam, 2009) or standards that define Muslim religious belief and practice. These pillars are the foundation of Muslim religion. Good introduction and thesis statement. â€Å"Shahada† means the acceptance of no other GOD but ALLAH and that Mohammad is the prophet of Allah (Five Pillars of Islam, 2009). This same theme is reinereated thoroughout the Quran is is the single most important basis of Muslim religion. Develop paragraph further. â€Å"Salat† is the requirement to pray daily starting at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and night facing toward the Mecca. (source? ) This time is seen as a personal conversation with Allah expressing gratitude and worship as well as asking for assistance if needed. It is believed that this practice enables one to remain on a true path of righteousness. (Five Pillars of Islam, 2009) Muslims are seen daily at the Mosques during this ritual prayer but it is not a requirement to pray in a Mosque the only requirement for daily prayer is the area is to be clean. â€Å"Zakah† or charitable giving consists of two main types. First, there is the kajj, which is a fixed amount based on the cost of food that is paid during the month of Ramadan for the entire family. Make an original title that reflects your thesis statement. This could be very expensive depending on the amount of people in the family and whether or not you included the extended family in the accounting. Avoid 2nd person voice. Second, there is the Zakat on wealth, which covers money made in business, savings, income, and valuables held for longer than one year only as long as the value is greater than ‘Nisab’ (the equilivent of 3 ozs of gold). (source? ) One can always give more in order to obtain a greater divine reward. The following guiding principles should be followed when giving the Zakat: the giver must declare is intention to GOD. It must be paid on the day that it is due, or it is considered the refusal to fulfill GODS wishes. (source? ) Payment must be in kind, wealthy people pay in cash while poorer people can pay in goods or time depending on their ability. And finally the Zakat is always distributed in the community it originated. It is through Zakat that the responsibility to eliminate inequity and ease economic hardship in every community is fulfilled. Five Pillars of Islam, 2009) This practice of distribution in the community at times can lead to inequality when economics of the area are factored in. Fragment- Make topic sentence- â€Å"Sawm† or Ramadan Fasting. During this 30 day period one must abstain from food, drink, and sexual intercourse from dawn to dusk while being especially mindful of other sins. (source? ) There are three different types of fasting recognized although the act of fasting remains the same. There is ritual fasting, fasting as compensation or repentance, and ascetic fasting. † (source? ) The purpose is to allow Muslims to seek nearness to Allah, to express their gratitude to and dependence on him, to atone for their past sins, and to remind them of the needy. Since there is the fasting in place during daylight hours, some mosques hold early morning breakfast gatherings as well as community dinners at night during the period of Ramadan. (Five Pillars of Islam, 2009) â€Å"Hajj† or the pilgrimage to Mecca is the last pillar of Islam. Every able-bodied Muslim is obliged to make this at least once in their lifetime if they can afford it (Five Pillars of Islam, 2009). This pilgrimage is not dependant on distance either. If living in the States or even further away it is still an expectation that if able the pilgrimage will be made. The five pillars of Islam are just the beginning of the Qur’an’s foundation for living. The Quran is also a book of wisdom giving inspiration and guidance to the people of Muslim religion. As reported in the Sura 17 â€Å"This Qur’an guides to that which is more right and better. It reassures the believers who do the good that their reward will be great† (Topic index of the Quran, 1995-2001). It is filled with reminders of God’s mercy, blessing, warnings of what will occur to those who do not follow the righteous path, instructions for daily living and also includes stories of ancient civilizations and the lessons they learned (Hooker, 1996). This makes the Quran the bible or words of wisdom followed by all Muslims in the practice of their religion and lifestyles. How to cite The Qur’an, Essay examples

Human resource management a contemporary approach - Free Samples

Question: Discuss about theHuman resource management a contemporary approach. Answer: Introduction Communication is essential to conduct the activities of the organization in a smooth way. Effective communication in a workplace is an important part of the organization to achieve overall goals and objectives. It is related to exchanging the information with each other in a proper manner. Communication problems are the major issue faced by many organizations. So, in this report, the emphasis will be given on the issue related to the workplace communication strategies by taking into consideration the point "connecting with the employees". Connecting with employees means to communicate with the employees who are working in the organization. Proper communication is important as it helps to enhance the productivity and profitability of the organization ((Marchington et al., 2016). In the first phase of the report, the discussion will be made on the connection with the employees and also the issues related to the employees. In the last phase of the report, the recommendation and conclusion will be made by considering the issues related to the connection with the employees. Communication or to make connection with Employees (Connecting with employees) It is seen that communication with the employees is important to enhance trust between the employees and the management. To achieve success in the market the communication requires management support, a clear strategy and evaluation of the activities in a proper manner. If there is proper communication with the employees then the activities of the organization can be conducted with efficiency (Beardwell and Thompson, 2014). There are many issues faced by the management at the time of connecting with employees. It is important to minimize the issue so that the confidence level of the employees can be enhanced to conduct the activities of the organization. Effective workplace communication ensures that the goals and objectives of the organization are attained. Also, connecting with the employees means to make proper understanding between the employees and management, so that they can understand each other properly (Sadia et al., 2016). Issues related to connect with the employees The organization faces various issues at the time of connecting with the employees. The issues are: Unclear goals This is the issue that is related to connect with the employees. If the goals of the organization are not clear then it can create a barrier to conduct the activities of the organization in a correct direction. The employees sometimes hesitate to communicate the queries with the managers. So if the activities are not clear then it can be difficult for the employee to communicate effectively with the top management and miscommunication also takes place between the management and the employees. So it is important to clear the goals properly so that the employees can connect efficiently. Lack of leadership At the time of connecting with people if there is lack of leadership then it can hinder the work of employees. Employees consider the directions given by their leaders, but when management lack the ability of leadership then it is difficult to maintain proper understanding and communication between the manager and the employee of the organization. Lack of leadership also gives negative impact on communication pattern of the organization. If the employer is unable to give proper directions to the employees then it creates various questions in the mind of the employee and the issue related to connecting with the employee arises. To connect with people proper guidance is important so that the message or the information can be clearly given to an individual (Dinh et al., 2014). Language barriers At the time of connecting with the employees, the language barrier between the individuals of different backgrounds and people of different age groups takes place. The language barrier can slow the process of communication and can also create misunderstandings that make communication ineffective (Delery and Gupta, 2016). Understanding can be made if the language is proper and can be understood easily. So the issue is faced at the time of communicating or connecting with the people of the organization. Misunderstanding is also created due to the change in the language. It is seen to connect with the people proper understanding should be made so that the activities can be conducted smoothly. For example: If an individual understands Chinese then it is important to speak Chinese so that the information given is clear and also proper connection will be made. Lack of feedback To exchange information with each other or to connect with each other it is important to provide feedback so that the quality of the information can be enhanced. It is seen that if the employees are not given chance to give feedback then it can create difficulty at the time of communicating or connecting with the people. When there is lack of feedback then only the company faces the issue to connect with the employees who are working in the organization. If there is no proper feedback provided by the employees then it can lead to an issue in connecting with the employees. If the employees are not given a platform to share their views then it can be difficult to connect with the employees. There are many organization where employees do not get chance to exchange their information or to share the views than in this situation it creates a problem to connect with the employees in a proper manner (Nathwani et al., 2017). Culture diversity It is seen that world is turning into more of a global village. It is common to search people from various backgrounds and locations. The diversity encouraged in various organizations and still, it is seen that it led to poor communication. It is analyzed that due to the different culture of people it sometimes causes difficulty to connect with the people (Verburg and Boon, 2015). Power and hierarchy The major issue that takes place to connect to the employees is power and hierarchy. It is seen that due to the hierarchy it is difficult to connect with the employees as the workers also feel hesitated to approach their managers. As there are many managers in the organization so if the hierarchy is followed it creates and modifies the actual message into something different. It sometimes creates conflicts between the employees and the management. The lower level management gets some different message that is transferred to the top management. The actual message changes due to the transfer of information through many individuals. It creates difficult to give proper information to the employees or to connect with the individuals in an effective manner (Obeidat and Abdallah, 2014). Attitude and Ego It is seen that the activities in the organization are stopped due to the ego and attitude of an individual. Ego issue is the biggest challenge for the leader that causes bad communication in the organization. To connect with the employees it is important to create proper understanding so that they can conduct the activities smoothly. But if ego comes between the leader and the employee then it is difficult to communicate effectively and also the understanding cannot be maintained (Solomon, 2015). Recommendations Proper understanding and communication with the employees play a great role to accomplish overall goals and objectives. To connect with the employees it is important to conduct face to face interaction with the employees so that the discussion can be confidential. The employees should be given chance to speak so that they can give proper feedback and the connection can be enhanced with the employees. The managers of the organization should also emphasize on conducting regular schedules. The schedule should be made in such a manner so that the interaction can be maintained for the important issues prevailing in the organization. To create a better connection with the employees it is important to motivate the employees and value the work done by them. To enhance the efficiency of the employees into action it is important to take care of their mindset and what they actually require or needs. They should be given chance to share their views so that they can feel motivated and dedicated towards the activities of the organization (Biniari et al., 2017). Conclusion So, by evaluating the report it is concluded that communication plays a great role to conduct the activities of the organization in a smooth manner. Proper connection with the employees helps the organization to reach the mission. So, every company should try to minimize the issues by considering proper strategies like: employees should be given a platform to share their ideas and views.
